What a sat solar survey is worth
Two figures every installer asks for, each with its basis.
You are invoiced only for an appointment that sits — the only thing on the invoice is a qualified owner-occupier sitting in front of your surveyor.
The average install value per closed survey is £9,000. Set that against a survey that costs from £150 and is replaced free if it doesn't sit, and one closed install covers months of appointment spend.
Three things that decide whether a solar survey closes
Built around an MCS installer's week: owner-occupiers, postcodes on your survey routes, a project worth the van slot, and a homeowner who knows you're coming.
Owner-occupier targeting by postcode
Most solar leads come from comparison sites and shared forms. The same homeowner is sold to five installers at once, so you inherit price-shoppers with no real project — and a race to the phone you did not choose to enter.
We generate our own demand with paid social and search built around real buying questions — "what does a 10-panel system actually save?" The enquiry lands with intent, exclusive to your campaign, inside the postcodes you gave us and matched to the brief we agreed.
The qualification call, before anything is booked
Internet leads do not answer. Your closers burn days dialling, and whatever does connect has never been checked — wrong postcode, tenant not owner, current spend never asked. Unqualified addresses still end up on the survey route.
A UK call team speaks to every homeowner first: owner-occupier confirmed, postcode inside your patch, panels, battery or both checked against your brief, current spend captured, decision-maker identified. Only then is a survey time agreed — with someone who has already watched a short video on what the visit involves.
Survey routes, reminders and replacements
A booking without confirmations becomes a no-show. Nobody owns reminders or reschedules, the surveyor drives to an empty house and the afternoon's route is gone, and disputed surveys turn into invoice arguments at the end of the month.
We handle the confirmations and the reminders, rebook the reschedules, and drop the booking into your diary or CRM with the call notes attached — placed around your survey routes. Anything that misses the brief is rejected and replaced under a policy we document before launch.
Spin your pay per show payout

A panels-and-battery survey and a window quotation need different answers. You set the questions, thresholds and exclusions up front — every homeowner is checked against them on the phone before anything reaches your surveyors.
Booked solar survey vs solar lead
The lead is cheaper on the invoice. It costs more in the van.
For solar installers whose surveyors can close.
If your team can close a kitchen-table survey, we'll keep the van diary full of owner-occupiers worth the drive.

Solar appointment FAQs
How much do solar appointments cost in the UK compared with solar leads?
From £150 per attended survey, booked across the UK. The price depends on your area and the criteria in your brief, so we quote it on request. Pay per show means you pay per sat survey — not per booking and not per lead — and nothing is invoiced for a no-show. A solar lead is cheaper per lead and dearer per install once chasing and no-shows are counted.
What is the difference between a solar lead and a booked solar survey?
A lead is interest plus contact details. For a booked solar survey, the homeowner has been spoken to by our UK call team, confirmed as an owner-occupier inside your postcodes and checked against your brief for panels, battery or both. They chose the time themselves, after watching a short video on what the survey involves.
Are the homeowners owner-occupiers, and is the survey exclusive to us?
Ownership is confirmed on the call, not assumed from a form. The demand is generated in-house, so the enquiry is exclusive to your campaign rather than sold on to other firms; distribution and exclusivity are written into your campaign terms before launch.
Can you book around our surveyors' routes and into our CRM?
Yes. Postcodes, survey routes and diary capacity are agreed at setup, so bookings land on days and in areas your vans already cover. Each booking arrives in your diary or CRM with the call notes attached, and we confirm the integration before any surveys go live.
What happens if the homeowner doesn't show for the survey?
A no-show is replaced with another qualified survey, not a credit note — you don't pay twice. Cancellations are rebooked or replaced. What counts as attended, the evidence for raising a dispute and the time window are all documented before launch. We guarantee the appointment, not the sale.
Do you generate the solar enquiries yourselves or buy data?
Every enquiry comes from our own paid social, search, video and native campaigns, on our own landing pages. Across all our sectors that is more than 60,000 appointments — Meta, Google, TikTok and native — all from demand we generate ourselves. No bought data, no shared forms, no comparison-site enquiries.
Is the calling compliant with TPS and PECR?
The workflow for each campaign is written down at setup rather than reduced to a compliance badge. Every homeowner has enquired on our own landing pages, so consent is captured at the point of enquiry; numbers are screened against the Telephone Preference Service where required; and every call identifies Clickerr and gives a way to opt out.
Do you also book heat pump surveys?
Yes. Heat pump survey appointments run on a separate brief, with their own criteria and diary capacity, and many firms run both. Tell us on the call if you survey for solar and heat pumps and we'll map the two briefs together.
